Rhulani Safari Lodge is a five-star, family owned, African-style lodge with a big focus on service (the staff have all been trained by the South African butler academy, no less).
The chalets are simply beautiful: contemporary African in style and crafted from stone, wood and thatch. They’re also wonderfully spacious and, as they’re set at least 100 metres apart, boast a profound sense of space and privacy. Each chalet comes with a private plunge pool – for the ultimate in escapism, you can also enjoy private dining on your deck.
Madikwe Reserve is a good choice for couples, groups and families: there’s a family suite and they welcome kids of all ages (although little ones need to be over six years old to go out on a game drive).
