Overview

Sure, towering mountains rise up behind Greystoke Mahale like something out of a movie. And the waters of Lake Tanganyika twinkle in the sunshine. But there’re only one real reason you’re here: the chimpanzees.

A large family lives in the wild Mahale Mountains. You’ll need to be reasonably fit to find them, but the effort is so worth it. Seeing them in their natural habitat is something you’ll never forget.

The accommodation is simple and rustic. The location is remote and untouched. In a word, we think it’s perfect.
