Previously known as Selous Game Reserve, Nyerere National Park is all about exploring. And the experienced Nomad team have been doing just that at Sand Rivers for over 20 years: by boat, by open-sided 4x4 and by foot for that extra thrilling, close-to-wildlife experience. And once the explorations are done for the day, relax by the pool or enjoy a drink in the bar while listening to hippos grunt in the river. The sounds of the bush provide the soundtrack overnight too as the stone and thatch cottages, set on raised decks, are all open-fronted to make the most of these very special surroundings.
