The panoramic views here are jaw-dropping. This includes the views from the suites, where the baths and beds are positioned to make the most of the outlook; you can spot game without even leaving your room. Although you'd be missing out if you didn't. The rangers think of every detail to make your drive comfortable (the hot water bottles are a particularly lovely touch). And if you combine your stay with a stint at Leopard Hills, their sister lodge in the Kruger, you'll benefit from their 'stay longer' deals, too.

We had a phenomenal sighting of lions as well as wild dog. At no time did I feel that we were being called back for dinner, which was great as we were having a wonderful time following the lions in the dark and listening to their calls - it was spine-tingling.
