Itinerary
Combine observing gorillas and chimps in their natural habitat with a few days in one of the world's greatest safari destinations.
Day 1
Fly to Rwanda
Overnight flight via Nairobi to Kigali
Days 2 - 4
Gorillas
On arrival, meet with your driver/guide and travel to the edge of Volcanoes National Park, the base for your trek into the gorillas' kingdom.
Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge, 3 nights on full board (including a guided gorilla trek).
Day 5
Kigali
Transfer back to Kigali for an overnight stay. May we suggest, if time permits, a visit to the very moving Genocide Museum, a real testament to the strength of the people of Rwanda.
Kigali Serena, 1 night with breakfast.
Days 6 - 10
Serengeti National Park
Fly from Kigali into the northern part of Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. A dazzling location for your safari.
Nomad Lamai, 4 nights all inclusive.
Days 10- 13
Mahale Mountains
Fly from the Serengeti to Mahale, followed by a boat transfer to your lodge on the shores of Lake Tanganyika, close to the forested hills that are home to the chimpanzees.
Greystoke Mahale, 3 nights all inclusive (including a chimp trek).
Day 14
Fly home
Fly back to Kilimanjaro and connect with the overnight flight via Amsterdam.
Day 15
Arrive home
